Biography

April White is a vocalist, composer and producer whose musical journey began at age 4, when she learned to play the piano.

April spent most of her young adult life playing in secret, to delight or console herself, and singing in private.

April rekindled her love of music as a disc jockey in New York City, DJ Single White Female (SWF), before learning to produce music and, subsequently, returning to her more classical and lyrical background.

Her recent release, Dr. Hummingbird, is a 15-song collection of tinkly, ambient, soundscape canvases that take listeners on a magical journey. It is a dramatic departure from April's previous releases, which included fierce club bangers, sexy techno tracks and sarcastic dance anthems.

April is also a member of the indie electropop trio, Tiny Machines, which just released a new EP, "Things are about to get a lot more possible."
